Get Your House In Order

Proverbs 3:33 New International Version states

The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked, BUT he blesses the home of the righteous.

In the flesh you may see 333 appear often. This number encourages us to set plans into action and let your personal strength be the guide: Also, to trust yourself and put thought into your choices.

As believers we need to take a look at the full picture.

We need to see the grace and mercy of God.

As well as His wrath and justice.

We cannot have one without the other.

But in this verse

We know that the curse of the Lord is on the wicked.

Who is the wicked?

The wicked is enemies of God and His people.

People that are refusing to learn how to be righteous.

And

Actively takes more pleasure in wicked way stuff (worldly pleasures)

God shows us patience and mercy every day.

If God decided to punish us for our first sin

There would be plenty of us in this box sooner.

God’s mercy goes beyond our first sin.

He does this because he loves us.

And because he loves to show us mercy.

BUT that mercy WILL NOT last forever.

We must get our house in order.

The second part to this verse says.

He blesses the dwelling of the righteous.

Their house WILL KNOW the blessings and the goodness of God.

We must believe the word.

To be made righteous by faith.

Once we do that the blessings from the most high is passed to our WHOLE HOUSE (Amen)

Just as the whole house is cursed, it can be blessed.

Next Verse is in Isaiah 38 another verse pastors like to speak on.

It reads: In those days Hezekiah became ill and was to the point of death. Isaiah went to him and said “This is what the Lord says, put your house in order, because YOU ARE going to die; you will not recover.

God didn’t say you might die!

Maybe you will die!      He said YOU ARE!

This is for us now. We are going to die. One day we will not wake up in this fleshy frame.

This is a one and done. A’int no do overs.

Isaiah is warning him. I am warning us!

Hezekiah, was I think 39. Going through life like most of us. He was covered in boils. The word says he was deathly ill.

Hezekiah knew the Lord and he knew how to pray. As you read on it will tell you that Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed and cried out.

We think sometimes that because we go through a tough season that God don’t hear us (but that goes into my last verse so let me bring it back)

Hezekiah said in verse 3 “Lord remember how I have walked before you faithfully and with whole hearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.

And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

Do you sometimes have those Lord remember me moments?

Those Lord do you not hear me, is this all for nothing moments?

God sent Isaiah back to tell him I’ve heard you praying, and I see you crying and I AM going to add 15 years to your life.

NOW I’m no theologian I only have the Snap Lady’s version and I am sure my Pastor’s can give you the lesson because they are taking notes 😊

But I heard a miracle.

In verse 7 & 8: It reads: The Lords sign to you that the Lord WILL do what HE has promised.

I WILL make the shadow cast by the sun go back ten steps. It has gone down on the stairs of Ahaz.

So, the sunlight went back the ten steps it had went down.

NOW I don’t know about you, but I just read God turned back the hands of time for Hezekiah.

It’s right here.

All because He was preparing him for the kingdom of heaven (Amen)

He gave him time to get it together.

God will get our attention one way or another.

We get warnings in many ways, and we are always so consumed with other worldly things that we don’t want to recognize our house.

We don’t have the time we think.

When chaos happens in our lives

We are quick then to say pray for me.

Lord, I need you or just get stubborn and don’t say nothing.

We are being distracted from God’s plan.

Right before our eyes.

All these worldly pleasures are becoming easily accessible.

Being planted around you.

And you are falling into the wrong trap.

The world has come up with a design to keep us in a mental bondage right in our face!

For example, now every child has anxiety or ADHD. Which now leads to prescription meds and a government social security check.

This conditions the mind to make you think it is okay.

Causing us to be dependent on the system created by man and not GOD.

You home is supposed to a comfortable and safe space with Christ.

And when I say home, I mean your inner being, your spirit man.

This body is just the frame,

That holds the house. That provides cover to the good stuff.

The good stuff goes on and lives forever.

You can’t take the frame.

But you can take the spirit.

If your good stuff is in disarray, it has a trickle effect.

It shows in your attitude, behaviors, work and gate ways are being open.

Your frame

Your frame is the entrance to enter into the house!

Now who you let in or what you let in is up to you!

Your frame is the first line of defense.

You have to plead the blood over your home,

You have to cover and protect your house like in the Passover.

(Now again I’m no historian so you get the snap lady version, and they can come clean it up)

When Passover happened, they were told to put blood on the door and over the top and they would be passed over.

It’s time to place a spiritual restriction over your home.

Knowing who and what can enter.

Nothing uninvited

Nothing negative

Is allowed in to drain you dry, attach to you, dwell in your presence.

Don’t underestimate God.

This battle is eternal, beyond our flesh.

And we don’t know the why, we will never know the why. At least not here on earth.

But our heart speaks to us if we listen.

The word speaks to us if we listen.

Our good stuff speaks to us, but we have to believe!

What are you allowing in your house? Stop leaving the door wide open. We are fighting for our salvation.

Fighting is not easy.

I don’t care how bad you are!

There is always someone who can drop you like its hot!

And my final thoughts well almost

Another familiar verse

Jermiah 29:11 we all quote it, but do we know why?

For I know the plans I have for you.

Snap lady version level 200.

God was talking to the Children of Israel

They were placed on a long punishment.

I believe it was 70 years.

Now God knew the plans that He had for them not man.

You had hannaniah (and hannahniah was false prophet) telling them they would be delivered in two years.

So, we have to mindful

You must know God for yourself! God said 70 years and this man saying 2.

For I know the plans I have for you

That you may live and die.

For I know the plans I have for you

That you will go through so many seasons that won’t feel so good.

For I know the plans I have for you

There will be some heartbreak.

There will be some people who don’t like you.

There will be some folks that speak ill against you.

For I know the plans I have for you

And maybe you will be in this season for a while like the Children of Israel BUT

I AM still God.

You maybe be in this season to learn all that you need to prosper.

God told them go on get comfortable, build some houses, plant some gardens, and make some babies.

You may have to uproot your family, but Lord I trust ya

You may have to bury some loved one but lord I trust ya

You may have to change careers but God you know.

You may have to lose your home.

You may lose some weight.

You may lose some hair.

BUT I AM

I AM STILL GOD

This is only a season.

For I know the plans I have for you

We must endure some tough times along with the good

God says it rains on the just and the unjust

God wants our house in order.

Before we make it to that box in front of you or that fiery furnace!

The frame can’t go

It stays behind.

Our internal home has some work that needs to be done.

We need some home repairs done.

And that’s okay.

Everyday when we open our eyes god is giving us more time.

Now it is up to us to figure out how that time is being spent.

If he can bless the house of the righteous

Show mercy on Hezekiah!

And know the plans he has for us.

The least we can do is get our house in order!

And I close with 2 stories.

And some of you may know them but reminders are good.

The house built on sand fell victim to the flood.

But the house built on rock stood firm.

The sand is life without Christ.

The rock represents a life with Christ the word of the most high.

Last story and I close with this:

Worldly pleasures are just that if it was something different it would be call something else.

Look at the rich man.

He must’ve lived in a nice house,

Had all the fancy things, clothes, jewelry, women, cars, good food, housekeeping, just flashy.

BUT his life was not founded on heavenly pleasures and in the end, he suffered the anguish of fire (that’s in Luke 16:19-24)

I don’t stand before you as if I’m perfect because I’m not. And I don’t pretend to be.

I am me and I wear me on my sleeve. You see who I am. You see me sad; you see me happy; you see me in prayer. You see me turnt up, however. I’m not gone lie to you; I will not sugar coat a thing.

But one thing I know is that I love the Lord.

And I am a believer who is in the process of getting my house in order.

I don’t want to lose this battle and I don’t want anyone to feel as though it was all for nothing,

The fire does not have to be the outcome.

Wouldn’t you rather believe and have your odds placed on eternal life?

Rather than end up in a fiery furnace forever.

Forever is a long time.

God give us a choice every second of our lives.

Salvation is free.

Don’t cost a thing.

Get in order!

(Ask a pallbearer to close the casket)

Because on that final day

When your eyes close and your lips are sealed shut.

What will you hear?

They will be done and you enter into the gates of heaven and get to enjoy the heavenly pleasures that you’ve worked so hard to attain.

Or

Will you hear They will be done and enter the gates of hell.

The bible says the gate to heaven is narrow and few will enter.

But the gate to hell is wide open and in your face.

In the worldly pleasures

It’s harder to be positive and do good. It was by design.

So, keep fighting, God is natural. God is organic. God is love.

But with God all things are possible

The is freedom in Christ.

For HE knows the plans HE has for us

AMEN
