A Caregiver’s Prayer

Father God we start off by giving thanks to you. Thank you for who you are. Thank you for the placement of our lives. We could have be born anywhere but placed us with love.

Lord I ask that you pour out your strength to the reader of this. Lord I ask that you give them the mind to endure those they care for.

Lord we often have those what about me moments when life is overwhelming, and that can be selfish at times.

Father I ask that you replace that with you peace. Lord thank you for making us who we are and in the capacity to deal or handle those you place in our care.

Caregiving is not easy and it takes sacrifice. Lord send the caring team help from time to time. Capture the tears that may fall when the house has closed their eyes for the night. I ask that you place compassion on the hearts of the ones we look after. Sometimes as they age they turn mean. Some knowingly and some unknowingly but Lord speak to our hearts. Don’t let what we do be in vain even though at times it feels like it.

Help us to keep our hearts right. Help us to not break when the layers of the world attack us from every side. Help us to keep a positive attitude when family doesn’t want to help. Maybe they were not built with the tools needed to perform the assignment.

Help us to look back when this season is complete and see what it was all about. Lord we trust you, honor you and praise you. Cover these homes in you blood. Provide the necessary services and financials need to provide the level of care that is needed.

Opened hard to penetrate doors. Send your angels.

This prayer I ask in your son Jesus Name Amen! ~ With love Talesha

  1. In Jesus name, AMEN! I SOOOO needed this today. As I was reading this the tears started falling. As a caregiver for my profession and then have to come home and take care of my mom is a lot. VERY OVERWHELMING but I love what I do. I just pray and ask the Lord to give me strength. Thank you for this.
